Birmingham University Seminar June 2009 ................................................................. AInvited to talk to the MA design students about my experiences of the design industry, I think I only swore alittle bit. You can, if you want, view the presentation here, but makes better sense if I am there.   Pecha Kucha, Bergen B.O.B. (2008) ................................................................. As part of the 'B.O.B.' workshop the students were required to do three presentations. Each in differing circumstances and styles. The finale was a organised Pecha Kucha night by yours truly. Alongside the students I also have GrandPeople, Jeremy Welsh and myself giving 6min 40sec talks.   KHiB, Bergen (Norway) B.O.B. (2008) ................................................................. A two week workshop with ten more third year students from the Arts Academy in Bergen. The project was still based on 'reality' with the students producing pitches, but this time for much more challenging briefs as well as presentation formats. Invited to give a presentation of my work, experience and opinions on the design industry to the students who are the first to attend this excellent course. I think I might have scared them alittle.   KHiB, Bergen (Norway) Life's a Pitch (2007) ................................................................. A two week workshop with ten very studious students in Bergen. The project was a taste of reality. For two weeks they were to work alone as freelancers. I set the first project, then two days later they received another project via email, and then another three days later. Athree day workshop in Kuala Lumpor's KB University aimed at challenging the students to create a realistic pitch proposal for a potential branding campaign for Diesel Clothing. A three day workshop where the students were challenged to question both the role as designers and to use their skills to promote just one word, in whatever form they felt necessary. Invited by the MA Communication Design course to present my work and experiences since leaving the same MA course fives years previously.   Nottingham Trent University What's the meaning? (2004) ................................................................. A simple seminar presenting the debate of designs role, and the industry at large.   Nottingham Trent University Meaning through Motion (2002) ................................................................. A more abstract project to express personal ideas to an audience about the meaning of words, semiotic or otherwise by choosing one word as the theme for their final piece.
